Thanks for Getting the Outdoor Area Fall Ready!!

Thanks a bunch to the Georgia Students for Public Administration
who came out and transformed the outdoor part of the shelter!
They repainted picnic tables, cleaned up the outdoor play area, fixed up the garden areas,
all along with some regular maintenance.
Our residents are really excited to enjoy the fall weather with their upgraded outdoor area!

Harvest for the Homeless 2011

With fall upon us, we begin thinking about winter, Christmas, and a new year. Here at Athens Area Homeless Shelter we are gearing up for our Annual Fundraiser: Harvest for the Homeless.
This year the fundraiser will take place November 10 at Hotel Indigo’s Rialto Club.  Tickets are now available on our website, helpathenshomeless.org.  The event will host live music and have raffles for local restaurants.
Check back often for updates as we get closer to the event.  Buy your tickets today and come back soon to buy raffle tickets! Contact us with you have questions, if you would like to donate, or if you would like more information on Harvest for the Homeless. We look forward to seeing you there.
